Having been born and raised in Rural Gove County, Ericka Nicholson graduated from High School in Quinter in 1990, attended and graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina. For 22 years, she has advocated for rural Kansas in various roles in healthcare, business development and city government in rural Kansas. She is currently the economic development director for Gove County and serves as the president of the local ambulance Service. She is passionate about her advocacy for the LGBTQ community and the desperate need for better mental health in the most rural parts of Kansas. Ericka enjoys horses, cooking, camping and fishing in her spare time.
