Erik Unruh, MD, MPH, was born and raised in southwest Kansas. He completed his Doctorate of Medicine and Master’s in Public Health at the University of Kansas Medical Center and is a resident physician at the University of New Mexico in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Prior to medical school, he completed nursing school at MidAmerica Nazarene University and worked as an emergency room nurse.
