Kirk Sharp is executive director of the Gordon Parks Museum at Fort Scott Community College. A Fort Scott native, he is a graduate of Pittsburg State University. He previously worked at Mercy Hospital-Fort Scott as the rehab and fitness director. He was on the Gordon Parks Board for six years and served as president for five years. Prior to that he served on the planning committee for the annual Gordon Parks celebrations and participated and many projects and events at the Museum during those times. He currently serves on the Kansas Museum Association Board of Directors as the Eastern Regional Representative. Other affiliations include: Fort Scott Area Community Foundation Board Member, City of Fort Scott Tourism Board and the Bourbon County Historical Preservation Society Board.
