Steve Devore

Steve Devore is president and CEO of Kansas Suicide Prevention HQ. He is from Ottawa and a Baker University graduate. Before entering the nonprofit world, Steve spent time as a Series 7 licensed stockbroker, where he worked for three major universities in professional fundraising and development. He became the chief development officer at Rose Brooks Center — a comprehensive domestic violence agency in Kansas City, Missouri — and, later, became the president of the Gardner Area Chamber of Commerce. Steve has been with Kansas Suicide Prevention HQ since 2019, and his passion for nonprofit work is rooted in a belief that everyone should be willing to help those individuals who need help the most. Steve, his wife, Gina, and his two sons are blessed to enjoy significant time in the beautiful outdoors, participate in student-athlete activities, and continue the legacy of their family farm.
