Tom Bell of Topeka recently retired from the Kansas Hospital Association, where he worked for more than 30 years, serving roughly half that time as president and CEO. Prior to his work with KHA, Bell was a practicing health care attorney. He is a native Kansan from Holton, and graduated from Kansas State University and Washburn University School of Law. After graduation from law school, Bell clerked for Kansas Supreme Court Justice Harold Herd. Earlier this year, Bell was appointed by Gov. Laura Kelly to the Executive Committee of the Strengthening People and Revitalizing Kansas (SPARK) Taskforce, which is responsible for oversight of the statewide distribution of CARES Act funding related to COVID relief. He is also a board member of the United Methodist Health Ministry Fund.
