Yusef Presley, Soros Justice Fellow at Progeny, entered the juvenile justice system in 2012 and became a youth leader at Progeny to ensure other young people do not experience the hardships and lack of governance he endured. Yusef recently was granted the distinguished Open Society Foundation-Soros Justice Fellowship grant, to create the YP Project and produce a documentary about the experiences of young people touched by the foster care-to-prison pipeline in Kansas.
