Gov. Laura Kelly announced in December she would pursue a second term in 2022. Amid the pandemic and with several policy goals yet to be achieved, the Kansas governor said running for re-election was a no-brainer.
“I’m not done yet. When I ran in 2018, I ran because the state was in such and shape. We’ve really been able to turn some things around,” Kelly said.
